Mary Crewe has Welsh ancestors.

Mary Crewe was born in Lancashire, England.
Mary Crewe's father, John, was a shoemaker.

Mary Crewe was born on the 10th October 1829, in Manchester Street Particular Baptist, Oldham, Lancashire, England, the eldest daughter, eldest child of Welsh born John Crewe (a shoemaker), and Yorkshire born Elizabeth Preston. [1]

In January 1831 Mary was no longer an only child, when she was joined by a younger sister their parents named Ann.[2]

On the 14th October 1832, Mary and Ann were joined by another sister their parents named Sarah Ann.[3] Right about that time little sister Ann died, and was buried (19th October), leaving Mary and the new baby Sarah Ann as a twosome instead of a threesome. [4]

A short while before Christmas in 1833 (on the 11th December) another new baby joined the family, when little brother Thomas was born.[5] Sadly, he was not to stay with them long, as he, too, died—just as had little sister Ann—and was buried on the 7th October 1834, not even ten months old.[6]

Mary Crewe died young.

Sadly for parents John and Elizabeth, their eldest daughter, Mary Crewe, passed away on or before the 13th April 1835, in Oldham, Lancaster, England, about halfway between her fifth and sixth birthdays—making it three children in four years they had buried.
Mary was buried in the Parish Of Oldham, Lancaster County, England.[7]
