She married Jesse H Broughton on 23 Nov 1847 in Boone County, Missouri. The bride's name was recorded as Jeals Cruse.
Jesse H Broughton died before 14 June 1880 when the census was taken.
In the 1880 census of Marshall, Saline Co, MO, Giles is 67 KY KY VA and widowed. Her son Oscar age 21 MO is married to Jane 18 KY and her other son Eddie 17 MO. Giles, Oscar and Eddie cannot read or write.
She was mentioned in the will of her brother Archibald Crews in Sept 1890 as being "Of Saline County, Missouri". She passed away after 1890 possibly in Saline County, Missouri. Burial place unknown at this time.
