Sadie Ree Crews-Johnson

Mrs. Sadie Ree Crews-Johnson, 86, of Glen St. Mary, Fla., passed away Saturday morning, November 10, 2001, following a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of the late Corbit Samuel Crews and the former Mattie Martha Hodges-Crews. A long time resident of Baker County, Sadie Ree Crews married the late Woodrow Johnson on December 9, 1939, and together they raised five children. Mrs. Johnson is predeceased by her husband, Woodrow Johnson; two brothers, Hamilton and Dock Crews; two sisters, Ann Raulerson and Ellen Wilkins. Survivors include her children, Norman Johnson (Hilda) ofMelrose, Fla., Patsy Rodgers (Herb) of Macclenny, Fla., Jerry Johnson(Nancy) of Jacksonville, Fla., Sammy Johnson (Yvonne) of White House,Fla., and Tommy Dale Johnson (Nancy) of Macclenny, Fla.; her brothers, Corbit Crews (Jeanette) of Macclenny, Fla. and Eugene Crews (Noma) of Birmingham, Ala.; her sisters, Rosie Crowell (Jack) of Penny Farms, Fla., Crecie Rhoden and Mavis Griffis (Joe), both of Macclenny, Fla., LucyDavis (Rayborn), Glen St. Mary, Fla.; sister-in-law, Rosalee Crews, GlenSt. Mary, Fla.; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren;ten great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 13,2001, at the Raiford Road Church, Macclenny, Fla., with John A.Raulerson, Pastor, officiating, assisted by Eddie Griffis, Associate Pastor. Interment followed in Oak Grove Cemetery, Macclenny, Fla. The family received friends on Monday, November 12, 2001, atthe Raiford Road Baptist Church from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Arrangements were made by Prestwood Funeral Home, 270 U.S. 301N., Baldwin, Fla.
