Hey Y'all! I'm new here and learning as i go. I'm looking for any and all information about my ancestors and would welcome any new found family, no matter the distance. feel free to message me and for anyone that has pictures of our ancestors you are definitely welcomed!! i not only want to know their names but also see what they looked like and hear their stories. so Y'all come share with me and If I have anything you dont i have no problem sharing!

Thank you for adding a GEDCOM. The GEDCOM does not automatically populate your tree. It generates a GEDCOMpare report which you work through, either accepting or rejecting all suggested matches. Once that has been done, you should see [add] buttons for each of the remaining names.
The GEDCOMpare process guide has tips on how to use the data in your file most efficiently.
For those using Chrome or Opera browsers, there is a tool that can help with the formatting of profiles which have been created through GEDCOM, so that you can concentrate on the research. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.

P.S. To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.

If your grandchildren are underaged, one of their parents would have to register and add them. They need not be actively involved, but they would need to give their consent to their children’s details being recorded. This is to do with GDPR and data protection.
