Mary Kathleen O'Connell told her that after Rose's husband died that the only thing she took away from the shop was a big oval mirror. When your nanna was little and they didn't have much money the only decorating they did at Christmas was to put Merry Christmas on the mirror with dry soap. That was a happy memory for Kathleen O'Connell.
