Research Notes

Merging of Crites-213 & Crites-620:

The Cryderman's of North America by Diane Oslund gives the name as George as the husband of Margaret Cryderman and History of the Creitz/Crites/Critz Family by June Shaull Lutz also has George has Margaret's husband.

Both books did not provide who George's parents are in certainty. The Cryderman's of North America provides the possibility that his mother's name was Catherine, but History of the Creitz/Crites/Critz Family mentions that a George Crites born ca1714 was the father of George. The parents of George have been changed to 'Uncertain' until proof can be found. George Crites was orginally showing as the father on Crites-213. Daniel Benedict Crites and Elizabetha Catharina Bernhardin were originally showing as the father and mother on Crites-620.

Crites-260 and Crites-213 appear to represent the same person because: George Crites-260 is the father of Michael Crites, born in Cornwall, ON. The baptism of Michael states that his parents are "George Croitz and his wife Margaret Croitz".

George Crites-213 is married to a Margaret (Cryderman) Crites and was also a resident of Cornwall, ON. The ages and dates are very similar for both sets of profiles.

Additionally, the one source on Crites-213, FindAGrave, https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/179529629, lists Michael Crites (b. 14 Feb 1805) as one of the children of George Crites and Margaret CRYDERMAN.
