No definitive record of military service by Ichabod Crittenden has been found. His son, also named Ichabod, did serve in the Massachusetts Militia during the Revolutionary War.
Death and Burial
Ichabod Cruttenden died in Sandisfield, Massachusetts on February 4, 1797. He is buried in the Beech Plain Cemetery alongside his wife, Sarah. As of 2010, his grave marker was present and legible.
