Biography

Rebecca Croft was born about 1774 in South Carolina or North Carolina. She was the daughter of Frederick Croft and Catherine (unknown) Croft. She was listed as Rebecca Jackson in her father Frederick's Last Will, which was dated 26 August 1805, and proved in court 4 November 1805 in Greenville County, South Carolina.[1] Her siblings were also listed in her fathers Will (in Will order):

Rebecca Croft married Christopher Jackson about 1795 most likely in Greenville County, South Carolina (no specific source found).

She died about 1816 and might be buried at Lick Creek Cemetery #1 in Dawson Springs, Hopkins County, Kentucky.[2]

Birth and death dates are estimates. Her tombstone hasn't been located, but it's assumed to be next to her husband in Lick Creek Cemetery.

Marriage date is an estimate. Her father's 1805 Last Will shows she was married, but haven't found a specific record.

Birth place might be South Carolina or North Carolina. Her sister Catherine's death record shows she was born in Chatham, North Carolina.
