William Crofts was born in 1710 in Wingerworth, Derbyshire, England, the son of John.[1][2] He married Sarah Bott on June 5, 1736, in North Wingfield, Derbyshire, England.[3] They had five children in 12 years. He died in 1791 in Leeds, Yorkshire, England, having lived a long life of 81 years.
