He married Alice Lea on 22 April 1878 in St Nicholas' church, Liverpool, Lancashire. [3] The couple had 11 children. [4]
In 1911 Edward, a twine spinner, living with his wife and 6 children at 59 Wigan Road, Ormskirk. [4]
