I also notice that the following is listed: Maria Sophia Cronje and Maria Sophya Cronje. This is the same person. She died young. The spelling of the middle name is a problem. The tomb stone says Sophia. I advise Maria Sophia CRONJÉ (1904.08.22;1908.02.13)
This area Roodewal is not in the Koppies district but in the Kroonstad district on the way to Viljoenskroon. Meyer amongst others, owned farms Wolvenfontein and Twee Dronk, the last was inherted by his daughter, my grandmother, Aletta Johanna Magdalena MEYER (1886.01.12;1969.09.19). The date of death for HP Meyer was 1939.07.14. The Free State archives contain a really full file of his estate documents, also of his second wife Susanna Elizabeth, born Van der Merwe. They both died in 1939.
