Biography

Obituary

William Cronk, youngest son of Levi and Lucy Cronk, was born in Kent County, Michigan, January 25, 1868, and passed away at his home near Hastings, Saturday, November 18, 1933, aged 65 years, 9 months and 23 days.

He was united in marriage in 1889 to Miss Ella Lewis, who survives him. To this union five children were born, Hazel and Homer at home, Mabel Althouse of Hastings, Esther Satterlee of Vermontville, and Howard of Grandville, all living, together with 6 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Geirge Cronk of Hastings, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He spent most of his life in Barry County, moving there with his parents when a boy.

To him home was the dearest place on earth. He loved his family and friends, and his home was ever open to those in need. His welcome was most cordial. He will be remembered by his many kind acts and good deeds.

Funeral services were held at the home Monday afternoon at three o'clock, conducted by Rev. C.M. Conklin, pastor of Hastings circuit Methodist church.

Burial was made in the beautiful Valley Home cemetery [aka: Hastings Twp. Cemetery].
