In 1851 James Crook (age 41, Carpenter) lived in Harefield with his wife Patience (45) and four children: Maria (17), Christopher (15), Ellen (10, Scholar), and Patience (6, Scholar).[5]
James and his family emigrated to Australia in 1851 or 1852.
They were in Fremantle, Western Australia in 1852 (death of daughter Patience), and their daughter Maria also married in Fremantle in 1853.
There is no death record for James in Western Australia - the family may have moved to South Australia (daughter Maria and her family did). His wife later lived in Geelong, Victoria, Australia, where she died in 1896. James may have passed away prior to her moving there, as his death was not registered in Victoria.
