Research Notes
Charlotte Louise Crook was born in 1842 in Maryland USA. Her parents were Charles Crook and Charlotte Selman.
She married William Bryant Hill about 1864 and had the following children:
- Mary Bryant Hill (1866-1933) born in Baltimore, Maryland
- Francis Asbury Crook Hill (1869-1929), born Baltimore Maryland
- Louis Bryant Hill (1870-1903), born Baltimore Maryland.
Charlotte died in 1931 in Baltimore, Maryland.
Found newspaper obit for Charlotte's father. He was Francis Ashbury Crook of Baltimore. It lists her as being the widow of William B Hill. His first wife was Georgeanna Schaefer with whom he had six children. Then he married a Mary E Brown of Philadelphia who died in 1891(although census records show her as being born in NY).
Mary first appears on the 1860 Census and on the 1880 Census her father Ebenezer is listed as living with them. (McNamee-238 19:05, 19 July 2017 (EDT))

Crook-543 and Crook-541 appear to represent the same person because: Married to same husband. Birth year on both is clearly wild estimate; 1870 census suggests around 1841.
