The biography for Cheryl Crooke is empty. What can you add?

I recently took a DNA test on 23andMe. Added to that is the privilege of an amazing family tree on Ancestry that my mother researched for 6 years to put together. Many lines back to 11th, up to 14th great grandparents, and one even to 17th! I would love to be able to find out more about each of my great grandparents and to fill in any missing names and dates.

I grew up as a missionary kid in SE Asia, and then married another MK in Japan and have lived here since 1991, raising our children here. Having lived outside of America for so long makes us, in a way, even more curious to know about our heritage :-)

Hi Cheryl - I've discovered that there are three Daniel Warners - one son of Benjamin, one sone of Benjamin's son, and then a third b. 1772 son of the second Daniel. Fixing this is a challenge for me! It is at this moment not correct.

I've looked at the location changes you made to Christopher Yonges and I remove my objection. I can see you are new here; welcome. Going forward, it's good practice to leave an explanation in the comments when you edit a profile and data fields, particularly one you don't manage that's pre-1700.

Cheryl why did you change the place of death for Christopher Yonges? He was a resident of and his will was probated in Southwold. He was buried in Reydon but no evidence he died there. Please source your changes.

Thanks for suggesting the mergers of the Warners. I suspect that your dates for Silence Hurd are correct, since mine are so far off. I'll check some resources. The we can do the merge as appropriate.

Cheryl, the changes you made to William Tyler (Tyler-1506) are for a different William Tyler. yDNA testing has confirmed the conflation of William Tyler born in Virginia and William Tyler born in SC by a well intended researcher. The information contained in the Find-A-Grave memorial is a conflation of the two individuals. Please reset the profile to its original state before your edits. Thank you, Michael Tyler

Hi Cheryl,

Please if you remove or change parents on a profile put in a note on the profile of whom was removed and why. Preferably with a source(non paid site) to support the change. Thank you, Jeanette

Cheryl, thanks for recent edits to PGM profile John Hawkes. FYI: The PGM project does not use "US & International ... Records" as a source; it's an compilation of a variety of materials, including unsourced pedigrees and family trees.

Hi Cheryl- we are 10th cousins twice removed. Looks like we share several of the same ancestors including Elizabeth Deming and Samuel Smith.

Hi Cheryl,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

The Virginia Project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other possibilities. Review the project page to learn how to collaborate with the project members.
