Anne was born about 1632 probably in Beckingham, Lincolnshire.
Anne was a member of the Beckingham Quakers.
On 1 May 1664[1] Anne married Richard Burdett, also of Beckingham in the house of John Pidd in Barnby in the Willows, just across the river from Beckingham in Nottinghamshire. It is a Quaker ceremony and the witnesses are Henry Bacon, William Cliffe, John Roberts, Lattimer Pattinson, Thomas Burtt, William Burdett, Robert Parker, Richard Pidd, Henry Carlton, John Pidd, William Massey, John Trueblood, John Greene, Alice Wadeson, John Snowdall, Mary Crosby, Mary Pattinson, Anne Bacon and Robert Smith. Even by Quaker standards this is a long list and may reflect the strength of the growing community.
Just one month later she witnessed the marriage of Henry Bacon and Alice Wadeson on 1 June 1664[2] in the house of Richard Pidd in Beckingham, Lincolnshire.
