Parents both born in Ne w York.
Lived at 226 Bay St. Jersey City in 1900 with Father and Stepmother Mary E. Crosby, single Aunts Julia A.(b. 1 Jun 1870) and Catherine L.(b.7 Aug 1865) , and three siblings.
Left school after 4th grade to go to work. In 1910 was a clerk in a novelty store.
Father was widowed after 20 years of marriage and remarried when Estelle was about 12.
In 1910, lived at 138 Mercer St. with parents and sister Gertrude M. Stepmother's occupation was listed as a housekeeper.
