Henry Crossley was born 23 April or 4 June (baptism?) 1793 in Anderson Township, Hamilton County, Ohio. He was a carpenter on Newtown. He married Sarah Frost (b. 8 June 1787) on 11 October 1811.

He died 12 August 1854 Grass Township, Spencer County, Indiana and is buried in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Spencer County, Indiana

The bible is a huge leather bound bible published by Jesper Harding in Philadelphia in 1851.
