Mary Amelia Crosley Hurley was born 12 October 1786 in Greene County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Ross Crossley and Sarah Lambert.

She married Gilbert Hurley, son of James Leven Hurley and Anne Slade. They had:

She died 7 July 1862 in Welton Township, Clinton County, Iowa. She is buried in the Seventh Day Adventist Baptist Church Cemetery.
