I ***Joseph Crofs*** of Stark County in the State of Ohio, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner & form following that is to say First it is my will that my funeral Expenses and all my just debts be fully paid.
Second I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved wife ***Hannah Cross*** all my real Estate, and also my personal property monies and affects, which she shall hold and enjoy during her natural life.
Third It is my will that at or after the death of my said wife ***Hannah***, that my daughter ***Mariah Anne Johnston*** Shall receive and hold as and for her own; the House and Lot of ground on which I now live, being the whole of Lot number 45 and one half of Lot number 44, in the Town of Bethlehem together with all the household goods and furniture that my said wife may have at her death. which said property is all that the said ***Mariah Anne Johnston*** shall receive of my Estate. And after the death of my said wife ***Hannah***, all the monies and affects then yet remaining and not herein otherwise disposed of, shall be equally devided between my other heirs. Except that I have heretofore given to my son ***William Crofs*** two hundred Dollars which sum together with interest thereon, shall be deducted from his share of my Estate. I have also given to my son ***John Crofs*** one hundred and seventy five Dollars which sum together with Interest thereon shall be deducted from his share of my Estate.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty Eighth day of May Eighteen hundred and sixty two

On the Second day of January in the year Eighteen hundred and Sixty three the last will & testament of Joseph Crofs was brought into Court and the subscribing witnesfses to said will to wit, Victor Hug & Edward Hug, also came into Court and being duly sworn say that said testator subscribed said will at the end thereof in the presence of said Witnefses, that they attested and subscribed the same as witnesses in the presence of said testator and at his request. that said testator at the time of executing saif will was of full age of sound mind and memor and not under any restraint. all of which testimony was by the Court reduced to writing and filed and it appearing to the Court tht said will was duly Executed __________ and proved the same is admitted to probate
