Biography

Micajah Cross was born on the 14th of June, 1818 in Russell, Kentucky. His parents were William Cross and Charlotte Compton who had married on the 10th of December, 1806 in Adair, Kentucky.

Micajah married Eleanor Johns on the 24th of March, 1839 in Morgan, Illinois. Together they had eight children.

After Eleanor passed away in 1882, Micajah married secondly Lemira Levine Johnson on the 24th of August 1884 in New York, Wayne, Iowa.

Micajah Cross passed away on the 28th of September, 1896 in Dayton, Columbia, Washington.[1]
