Harry Cross is an Indigenous Australian.

Harry was the 3rd of 4 children of George John Fabian Cross and Jessie Cross nee Poland, all of whom were born in Denham, Shark Bay, Western Australia^[1].

There seems to be no information on his early life until he got married in 1941 to Gracie Fields, with both about 20 years old, and the marriage registered in Geraldton, Western Australia, although his spouse's name is not mentioned in the Ancestry, Australia, Marriage Index record, and her corresponding record has not been found.

The only other records found for Harry Clarence John Cross are a complete series of the published Electoral Rolls from 1949 to 1980. In 1949, Harry Clarence John Cross, a Labourer and Grace Cross doing Home Duties, were at 79 Francis Street, Geraldton, together with Jessie Kathleen Teresa Cross and Pearl May Cross, and again in 1954 but without Jessie and Pearl. In 1958, Harry is still on the ER but had moved to 346 Marine Terrace, Geraldton, where he gave his occupation as M.R.B. [Main Roads Board] Overseer and was living with Eric Cross a Grader Driver and Harry's step-brother. Grace was not present on that ER, nor could she be found on any subsequent ER. Harry and Eric were still together at 346 Marine Terrace in 1963, but Eric moved to Rangeway in 1968, leaving Harry at Marine Terrace. By 1972, and also in 1977, Harry had moved to 309 Rowe Street, Geraldton as a Foreman, while Clarence John Fabian Cross, was working for the M.R.B., Margaret Anne Cross was doing Home Duties and Theresa Mary Cross was a Shop Assistant, all were at 309 Banksia Street, Rangeway, Geraldton, the two women being his daughters.

In 1980, the last published ER, Harry, still a Foreman, had his daughter Theresa Mary Cross living with him at 9 Hammond Place, Geraldton, while daughter Margaret Anne Cross was at 6 Abraham Street, Utakra, Geraldton, both women doing Home Duties.

Ancestry FTs have a death date of 29 August 1998 at Geraldton for Harry Clarence John Cross but with no sources given.
