Sarah is the most mysterious of the Crossman sisters, largely because of her common name and lack of a middle name. It has proved impossible, so far (August 2019), to find convincing records of her birth, marriage or death. She is mentioned, however, in census records for 1891 (age 4), 1901 (age 13), 1911 (age 22).
Sarah "Sally" Crossman was born about 1888 in South Shields, UK. She may be the "Sarah O. Crossman" who married Archie B. E. Taylor in 1912 at Tynemouth. She died sometime after 1911 (census records). It is thought that she ended up in Australia.
