"He was of religious and respectable parents. His birth happening aboutthe time of the battle of Bunker Hill, he received the name of theillustrious "Joseph Warren" who fell in the cause of his country.
He was educated at Brown University in Providence, RI and graduated 1795at the age of 20. He commenced the study of Theology immediately after,with the Rev Ephraim Judson of Sheffield. He began to preach the goapel,as a candidate for the ministry June 1796. He was ordained in Salisbury,Ct, June 28, 1797 at age 22.
In the spring of 1812, the town of Salisbury was visited with theEpidemic. He ministered day and night before falling himself to theepidemic.
