Biography
Jane Mirl Crosswhite, the ninth of thirteen children born to John Crosswhite and Martha Barker was born in Rock Island Township, Kingfisher County, Oklahoma on 8 June 1892.
Janie was 16 years old when she married 35 year old Ed Kirkpatrick on March 12, 1908 at her parent's home in Skeleton, Kingfisher County, Oklahoma.[1]Ed was born in Allen, Worth County, Missouri in 1872, the third of ten children born to William Kirkpatrick of Ohio and Sarah J. Lockhart of Mahaska, Iowa.
In 1910 Ed and Janie were living in Justice Precinct 3, Lipscomb, Texas, United States with their son, Owen who was born December 1908.[2]
Ed and Janie had the following children: Owen, born 1908, Margaret, born 1910, Louise, born 1913, and Charles, born 1916
When her youngest child, Charles Edward was sixteen months old, Janie passed away on July 3, 1917, at the age of 25. She was buried at Hennessey Cemetery in Hennessey, Kingfisher County, Oklahoma.[3]
