Honora was born around 1811 in county Waterford in Ireland.

Honora Crotty was tried for stealing clothes at Waterford in Ireland on the 17th March 1828, and transported to Australia via the ship City of Edinburgh. ^[1]

Waterford Chronicle 29 March 1828, pg 3;

Waterford Assizes, summary of prisoners sentenced at our Assizes :- ... Honora Crotty, ... transportation for seven years.

Elias Hibbs, age 19, mariner from ship Conne, and Hanorah Crotty, age 19, convict from ship Edenburgh, were granted permission to marry on February 5th, 1830. ^[2]

Honorah Crotty married Elias Hibbs on the 19th April 1830 at St Marys, Sydney. ^[3]

John Ding, (44) batchelor, and Hanora Crotty (40) Widow, were married by Licence at the Holy Catholic Church in Hobart on the 22nd Feb 1851. Their witnesses were Eliza Williams and Ann Bourne. ^[4]
