Birth & Upbringing: Paul was born in Salisbury in 1951.
Education: He was schooled at Michaelhouse School, in South Africa. He studied for a year at Rhodes University College before going to Gwebi Agricultural College in the Lomagundi District [1]
Military Service: The BSA Police was very much a para-military service and was the nation's first line of defense. The Police Anti Terrorist Unit of the British South Africa Police was a unit which operated in a quasi Special Forces role, seeking out and engaging the enemy in counter insurgency operations as an integral part of the Security Forces. The Unit was a highly successful structure.
Occupation: Part time policeman - joined the BSA Police Reserve in July 1973; Reg. No. 90111X; served until December 1976
Demise: Killed in action - ambush while serving as a Field Reservist with Field Reserve in Mukwichi TTL (Operation Hurricane). Paul was operating with a PATU stick at the time of his demise [2] [3].
Burial: Paul Crouch was buried at Warren Hill Cemetery on 21 December1976 following a military funeral. [4].
