Biography

David was born about 1776. He was the son of David Crouch. [1]

David Crouch Jr. Married Rhody Gowin on 22 Aug 1799 in Davidson, Tennessee, USA.[2]

In 1810, David lived with his wife and 5 children in Warren, Kentucky.[3]

In 1820, David lived with his wife and 4 children in Petersburg, Simpson, Kentucky.[4]

In 1830, David lived with his wife and 3 children in Henry, Tennessee. [5]

On 16 Oct 1835, David Crouch purchased 40 acres of land in Hancock, Indiana, USA from the Indianapolis Land Office, Meridian 2nd PM, Township 15-N, Range 6-E, Section 24. [6]

In 1840, David lived with his wife in Hancock, Indiana.[7]

The case of Adam Hance vs. the Heirs of David Crouch in the Wythe Superior Court of Chancery Pleas, Wythe Co., Va., a case brought to get the heirs of David Crouch to make good their title bond for Adam Hance's purchase of their shares of the land left by their father David Crouch, shows that David Crouch died intestate. Jul 1799, leaving widow Mary (Bulles) Crouch and the following children;

David Crouch, Sr. died in July 1799 in Montgomery Co., Va. Per a deposition made by Adam Hance in Montgomery Co., VA, he, his father Peter Hance, his half brother, David Crouch, and a sister (not named) came to the New River Valley area in 1768 where his father died before a land claim could be adjusted leaving him, Adam Hance, his only son and heir. [8]

David Crouch, Jr. passed away about 1840.
