Caroline Eliza Crouch was born on 4th July 1842 in St Martin in the Fields, Middlesex.^[1] She was baptised at St Martin-in-the-fields, Middlesex on 24th July 1842.^[2] Her father stated that he was a water gilder and that the family were living in Green Street. Both her birth and baptism dates were recorded on the register.
