Biography

Robert Paul Parker Crouch was born on December 1, 1963 in Allegheny County, PA. Shortly after his his birth, Robert was placed for adoption with Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Pittsburgh. At 3 months of age he was adopted by Robert Lee Parker and Tillie Parker (Stacy) of Ambridge, PA. Throughout his life Robert's biological family remained a mystery; this was in part due to Pennsylvania’s restrictive laws regarding adoption records and Catholic Charities’ strict privacy policies. In November 2017 a new law went into effect in the state which allowed adopted individuals to receive a non-certified copy of their original birth record. On Robert's birth certificate his biological mother was identified as Geraldine Wasko, of Butler, PA. Although there was no father listed on the document Robert used a combination of traditional and genetic techniques to identify possible relatives. He ultimately connected via Ancestry with his half-brother who, after consulting with his aunt, confirmed[1] the paternal relationship with Glenn Crouch.[2]

Robert is the father of two daughters. He is a biologist by way of education and presently works as an Environmental Scientist at a leading engineering and design firm.
