- RICE-CROUCHER.
- The marriage of MissCroucher, second daughter of Mr. W. Croucher, of Canowindra with Mr Robert Rice of Glastonbury,' was celebrated at the residence of the bride's parents on Wednesday last in the presence of a large, assemblage of friends and relatives. The marriage ceremony was performed at about 11.30 a.m. the Rev. Mr George Cranston, Presbyterian clergyman, of the Cowra charge, officiating. The bride, who was given away by her father looked well in a charming gown of cream silk, the yoke muchly pleated chiffon and lace, very prettily made, the skirt with many frills and Iace, the customary veil reaching to the ground crowned with a beautiful wreath of orange blossoms completing a charming tout ensemble, She was supported by one bridesmaid, Miss Carrie Croucher, who was prettily gowned in cream voile trimmed with lace and very much frilled, and wore a wreath of orange blossoms. Mr Fred. Rice acted as best man. During the solemn ceremony both principals acquitted themselves renarkably well, in each case the responses being given in a firm voice and with a total absence of that nervousness common at such ceremonies. The pronouncement of the last sentence of the marriage service was the signal for showers of rice and confetti, which the bride and groom appeared to with stand with agreeable composure..cont...
