His birth and death dates have been confused with those of his cousin, Adam Krause, who was the son of Johann Krause and Anna Maria Volck. Harris and Moran show that he was born bef. 1810[1], but so far no records have been identified for him. The guess of 1771 came in with a merged profile and has not been verified by a source. -- Fiscus-32 14:18, Updated 15 Dec 2016 (EST)

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Adam by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Adam:
Crouse-545 and Krause-983 appear to represent the same person because: Please use the dates from Crouse-545 until definitive sources can be found; however, please merge INTO Krause-983 unless you can turn up documentation showing Crouse was used at birth.
Crouse-526 and Krause-983 appear to represent the same person because: The document provided appears to be for a different family. I think we need to stick with the father's spelling (Krause), and add Crouse as a variation in the Other Last Names field.
Crouse-526 and Krause-983 are not ready to be merged because: Postponing this merge while waiting for a document that may show that he used the spelling of "Crouse" rather than "Krause."
Crouse-526 and Krause-983 appear to represent the same person because: I believe the birth year on Krause-983 should be retained. The birth date on Crouse-526 was probably mixed up with his cousin of the same name's birthdate.
Thanks!!!

I'm switching the mother for this profile to the Anna Maria that his father was married to. Anna Maria Pfiel (but perhaps "Unknown")
