Biography

Nancy Mary Crow was born in 1774 in Botetourt County, Virginia.[1] She was the daughter William Crow and Margaret Lynn Lewis.[2]

Nancy married William Montgomery on January 5, 1801, in Mercer County, Kentucky.[3][4] (Nancy's brother Andrew married William's sister Margaret in February 1799). They had six known children - Andrew Lewis, James, Margaret Elizabeth, Dowe, William Jr., and Charles Crow.

According to a family history, Nancy died in Illinois around 1820-21 at the age of 46, while the family was moving from Kentucky to Missouri in the American Bottoms, a stretch of land from Alton, Illinois, south to Chester, Illinois.[2][5]
