Allen Spencer Crow
"Brother" Allen Crow, as he is affectionately known by close friends and associates, or as "Grandpa Crow" to 18 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren who can be proud of their grandfather, died October 21, 1993 in the LDS Hospital at age 95.
Born June 8, 1898 to Charles Spencer Crow and C. Julina Markham in Salt Lake City, where he spent his whole life on the same property his father originally owned. Married Alpha Coolbear September 18, 1924 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They lived faithfully together for over 60 years until her demise January 13, 1985. A High Priest, ward clerk for three bishops; twice served as a stake missionary; patriotic member of the Sons of the Utah
Pioneers for 35 years; and worked as a federal employee since January 10, 1921 - mostly with the Engineer's Office, Interior Department, Bureau of Land Management for 42 years, retiring December 27, 1963. As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he was loyal to his priesthood callings and set an example to his family as one who loves the Lord.
Survived by his children and spouses, Lois and Avard Goodmansen of Sandy; Edwin and Loraine Crow, West Valley City; Claron and Maxine Crow, Stockton, California; and Ilana and Alvie Thompson of Harts, West Virginia.
