Birth

Jean was baptised on 28th Nov 1794 and probably born just a few days earlier.^[1]

At the time of her birth her parents were living at Redheugh of Miln of Kair (see map Roy Highlands map 1747-1752, Redheugh)

Marriage

Jean married James Valentine (b.1801) on 18th May 1827 in Fordoun.^[2]

1841 Census

In 1841 James is working as a shoemaker in Auchcarnie (see map OS Six Inch 1843-1882, Auchcairnie, Strath and Yonderfield) with Jean and presumably their 3 children Charles (8), Ann (6) and Jean (3).
