Biography
John Crowe aka Marshall Alan Pettrie was adopted as an infant by Harry Lee and Celestine Ramona Davenport Pettrie. They were teachers at Crispus Attucks High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. They were friends of Ray Crowe who also taught and coached at the high school.
