Biography
John Shelton Crowe was the son of William Joseph Crowe and Sarah Margaret White; Grandson of Robert Crow and Elizabeth Elkins. He was married to Susan Metcalf, and the father of seven children: Vernon, Vera, June, Russell Giles, Elizabeth, William Joseph"preacher", and Ralph Crowe. He was a farmer all his life. He died at the young age of 51 from tuberculosis. It was the same disease that took his father. (This information is by Timothy R. Crowe on John Crowe's Find A Grave memorial.}
