Biography

Elizabeth Crowell was born in 1788, the daughter of Ebenezer Crowell and Jerusha Harding of Barrington, Nova Scotia^[1]

In 1805, she married Thomas Kendrick Smith, the son of Jonathan Smith and Abigail Kendrick of Barrington, Shelburne, Nova Scotia^[1], and they had children, including:

1. Zilpha born 1806, who married Alexander Hogg^[2]
2. Ebenezer Crowell "Crowell", born 1808, who married Sarah daughter of Paul Crowell, and their children included:
   1. Thomas Henry who married Sarah Crowell.
   2. Sarah Jane who married Joshua Atwood^[3]
   3. Letitia who married James McMullen^[4]
   4. Eliza who married Edward N. Crews^[5]
   5. Hannah who married Caleb Spinney^[6]
3. Hannah, born 1809, who married John Spinney^[7]
4. Jerusha, born 1812, who died in 1830^[8]
5. Azuba Ann born 1815 who married John son of Seth Coffin^[9] (Also see Findagrave 75618607)
6. Abigail born 1819 who married Whitfield Spinney, and moved to Knowlesville, New Brunswick
7. Jonathan, born 1824^[10], who married Maria Stewart, of Port Mouton^[11], and then married Eliza Jane Trefry
