Biography
"He was the son of Barzillai Crowell, a laborer; b. Mar 01, 1754 in Tisbury; d. Jul 17, 1821, and his first wife Mrs. Rhoda (Burgess) Look. Barzillai and Rhoda were married Oct 10, 1781. Barzillai Crowell served in the Sea Coast Defense of 1776, and for awhile, was a prisoner of war in the Mill Prison in Plymouth, England."[1]
