The ancestors of my father, Ralph Manning Crowley, are from Ireland, US-Wisconsin and possibly Rutland, VT. My big question is whether the three Crowley brothers ~ Denis, Daniel and Cornelius ~ after immigrating from Cork, Ireland settled briefly in New England (and if so, where?) before moving to Wisconsin.
My maternal great grand mother was Mary Alice Hallman Detwiler (Detweiler) born in 1873 in Collegeville PA died in 1962 in Iron Bridge Rahns, PA. I've traced the Detweiler's back to Mennonites from Germany and Switzerland.
Through my ancestor lines of Fuller, Waldo, Adams, Graves and Grey, it seems that my ancestry goes back to some figures of European aristocracy but I've also read that there are corruptions and that this is controversial.
My paternal side has roots with the Espinets and Dansays as well as Peter Waldo.
My Fuller lineage goes back to Charles S. Fuller who married Celestia Waldo Wilford.
My great great great great grandfather was John Christopher von der Heyde (02 Jan 1747 - 1807) from Dissen, Lower Saxony, Germany. I'd like to explore this surname more.
I recently confirmed that Ralph Waldo Emerson is a (4-7th?) distant cousin through a common ancestor, my GGGGGGG Grandfather John Waldo (24 Feb 1660 - 14 Apr 1700) and that my paternal Fuller line are from Massachusetts, that Nathaniel Fuller was a son of the American Revolution. I'd like to explore, confirm and source this lineage.
I recently confirmed that Ralph Waldo Emerson is a (4-7th?) distant cousin through a common ancestor, my GGGGGGG Grandfather John Waldo (24 Feb 1660 - 14 Apr 1700) whose sister, Rebecca Waldo (28 Jan 1662 - 21 Apr 1752) married Edward Emerson (26 Apr 1670 - 09 May 1743) and are Ralph Waldo Emerson's great great grandfather and grandmother. My paternal Great Great Grandmother is Celestia Waldo Wilford (1819-1901).
My GGGGGGGG Grandfather George Thomson (Thompson) arrived in 1682 on the Welcome passenger ship. His GGGGGG Grandaughter, Mary Emma Thomson married into the Robarts family, originally from Cornwall England, in 1859. I would like to learn more about the Thomsons.
Exploring my Robarts family connection to euro-aristocrat Robartes surname from Truro, Cornwall, England.
My middle name is Robarts, my grandfather was John Robarts Yosts and maternal great grand mother was Mary Virginia Robarts. I would love to explore this surname more.
I have ancestors who are named von der Heyde but I see it spelled as above as well. I would love to explore this surname lineage more.
My paternal great great grand mother was Celeste Waldo Wilford who is connected to John Waldo, my seventh great grandfather and Ralph Waldo Emerson second great grandfather.
I beleive that my paternal great, great grandmother was Ellen Weldon from County Cork Ireland (abt 1810 - abt 1846). I'd like to confirm this and find more about the Weldon line.
My paternal great, great grand mother was Celeste Waldo Wilford.

Hi Jonathan,Welcome cuz!

We are 22nd cousins via our 21st Great Grandfather Robert Holand-1656 (b 1283-1328) We have 132 ancestors in common in 30 generations! This should give us both plenty of Euroaristo ancestors to learn about!

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz, Jonathan!

Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, coordinating with others is essential.

I suggest for your ancestors this: England project, leaders- are Susie MacLeod and Wendy Sullivan I did not find ancestors for your other tags as I see you are still adding

Or use the Pre-1700 Projects list, which is also on your own page at the top in 4th topic under<Find>.
