Mrs. W. J. (Jack) Hurt died yesterday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Lacy between here and Lawson. Her death occurred on the 84th anniversary of her birth. She had lived until the death of her husband two years ago, on the same farm for over fifty years, coming to Missouri from South Carolina. She leaves a number of sons and daughters, among them being J. T. Hurt, president of the Commercial Bank at Lawson, Riley Hurt and Daniel Hurt of near town, C. C. Hurt of Holden, A. J. Hurt of Kansas, and Mrs. Lacy.
