JOHN N. CROWLEY DIES WEDNESDAY AT NINETY-TWO
John N. Crowley, well known pioneer resident of the community, passed away yesterday at 4 a.m. at his home on North Main Street. He would have celebrated his 92 birthday anniversary today had he lived. He was well up until the time of his death and retired for the night Tuesday evening in his usual health.
Crowley was born February 26, 1856 in Salem township and spent most of his life engaged in farming there. He moved to Antioch with his wife in 1927 where he made his home since. Mrs. Crowley, the former Charlotte E. Coon, passed away in 1932.
Survivors include a son Clarence, one granddaughter, Mrs. Owen Nash, of Toulon, Illinois, and one grandson, Kenneth Crowley of Waukegan.
Funeral services will be held Sat. at 1:30 p.m. from the Strang Funeral Home. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.
