Sarah was born in Arkansas, 1848, the daughter of Jacob Crowson and Nancy McConnell.
About 1865, she married R. L. Crawford in Arkansas. The couple had at least two sons:
William G Crawford (1866–1927)
Richard Lorahn "Mack" Crawford (1868–1951)
In 1870, Sarah married Benjamin Franklin Selman in Cherokee County, Texas. [1]Benjamin and Sarah had one daughter:
Anna Olevia (Selman) Baker
Benjamin passed away in 1873.
June 02, 1873, she married William J. Banton in Cherokee County, Texas. [2]
Sarah passed away in 1928 and is buried at China Spring Cemetery, China Spring, McLennan County, Texas.
