Maud was born in 1876.[1] She was the daughter of George Henry Crozier and Edith A. Marshall.
US Census Date 1880: Living with her parents and younger brother Robert in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts. Aged 4.
At the age of about 21 she married Louis Edward Burwell on 27 July 1898 at Chelsea, Suffolk, Massachusetts.[2]
Announcement of marriage from The Boston Daily Globe – Thursday, July 28, 1898 p.6:
Miss Maud E. Crozier, daughter of Mr. George H. Crozier of Chelsea, was last evening wedded to Mr. J. E. [sic – should be L.E.] Burwell, also of that city. The marriage took place in St. Luke’s Episcopal church and was performed by the pastor, Rev Charles H. Hutchinson. Mr. Walter Burwell was best man and Miss Hattie M. Thompson of Chelsea was bridesmaid. None but the relatives and very close friends of the couple were present. Mr. and Mrs. Burwell will reside at 721 Broadway and will be at home to their friends after Aug 1.
They had one daughter.
US Census Year 1900: Living with her husband and one year old daughter Althea in Precinct 2 Chelsea city Ward 3, Suffolk, Massachusetts. Aged 23.
Maud and Louis were later divorced.
US Census Date 1930: Recorded in the household of her married daughter Althea Poutre in Medford, Middlesex, Massachusetts, United States. Aged 50 and divorced.
She passed away some time after 1930.
