Biography

Frederick George William Crozier was born in the third quarter of 1874 at Hornsey, Middlesex, England. His parents were Frederick W and Jane Phoebe Crozier. ^[1] He was baptised on 10th December 1876 at St Michaels Church in Wood Green, Haringey, England.^[2]

Frederick William Crozier married Emily Edith Randall on 25th December 1897 at St. Michael's Church, Wood Green, Middlesex, England. ^[3]

Frederick and Emily Crozier had at least 4 children.

The family was listed living at 22 Chingford Road, Walthamstow in 1911. Frederick was a plumber by trade.

Frederick George William Crozier died on 27th July 1953, age 78 at Walthamstow, Essex, England.^[5]

He was buried on 1st August 1953 at Queens Road Cemetery, Waltham Forest, Greater London, England.^[6][7]

Research Notes

Viewing his baptism record on the Ancestry website, it is difficult handwriting that has been transcribed to yield the surname "Grocier", and although I am no expert, I would agree with that transcription. However, all the other details, except for the two year delay from birth, suggest that this record is his.

The 1911 census results on the FamilySearch website incorrectly state his first name is Richard, but on the Ancestry website it is Frederick. Also Elsie's second name is "Ivey" on FamilySearch but "Ebey" on Ancestry. I have not been able to view the original to sort this out yet. Her birth registration is in the name Elsie I. Crozier.
