Biography

Sallie Elizabeth Cruce was born on January 11, 1878, in Georgia, to Isaac James Cruce and Sarah Adeline (Minor) Cruce. In 1880, she resided in Martins District, Gwinnett County, Georgia. By 1900, Sallie had moved to Boone Township, Logan County, Arkansas.

On February 26, 1901, Sallie married Charles X. Williams in Sebastian County, Arkansas. The couple lived in Boone Township, Logan County, as seen in the census records of 1910 and 1920. They continued their residence in Booneville, Logan County, Arkansas, in 1930, 1940, and 1950.

Sallie Elizabeth Cruce passed away on October 7, 1951, in Booneville, Logan County, Arkansas, due to a cerebral embolism. Her final resting place is at Oak Hill Memorial Cemetery in Booneville, Logan County, Arkansas.
