William James Crump was born on 15 April 1884 in Wollombi, New South Wales, Australia^[1], the son of Francis "Isaac" Crump and Mary Ann Mannix and brother of Jane (Crump) Lynch, Francis Joseph Crump, Mary H Crump, Michael John Crump, Sarah Anne (Crump) Ryan, Ernest Isaac Crump and Florence Bridget (Crump) Smith.

He married Margaret Ellen Cody in 1924 at Singleton, New South Wales, Australia^[2].

William died on 30 August 1980 in Wollombi, New South Wales, Australia^[3]and was buried at the Wollombi Cemetery^[4].
