Also, boarding with his family was his father's sister, Leonor Garcia, age 31; her husband, Jose R. Garcia, age 38, and their two sons, Tobias Garcia, age 10; and Emiterio Garcia, age 5.[3]
  • In 1910, Jose G. Cruz, age 12, lived in Martinez, Colfax, New Mexico, with his father, Miguel Cruz, age 56, a farmer; and with his mother, Benigna Cruz, age 56; and with Jose's siblings: Emilia Cruz, age 18; Doloritas Cruz, age 16; Cristoval Cruz, age 15; Sigifredo Cruz, age 9; Felicitas Cruz, age 6; Cirpriano Cruz, age 1; along with Joe's divorced uncle, Donaciano Cruz, age 57, a sheep herder.[4]
  • In 1930, Jose G. Cruz, age 33, a sheep herder, lived and worked in Cokeville, Lincoln, Wyoming, USA. He also lodged with Emil Montage, age 19, another sheep herder.[5]
