Biography

This profile is part of the Cudmore Name Study.

Patrick Cudmore was born about 1778, the son of Daniel Cudmore (1758 - 1798) and Jane Cudmore nee Furnell (1754 - 1835). He had an older brother Daniel (1777 - 1815) and two sisters.

Patrick Cudmore married firstly in about 1798. The name of his wife is unknown, he had a son William Christopher born 1798 in the parish of Ballyclough. He secondly married Jane Sarah Russell (1791 - 1879) and had two children with her born at Tory Hill, County Limerick: Milo Clanchy (1808 - 1900) and Daniel Michael Paul (1811 - 1891).

Patrick and Jane Sarah separated and in 1822 Jane Sarah, a Quaker, sent her sons to be educated by fellow Quakers in Essex, England.

Patrick died in March 1827. His death was announced in the Limerick Chronicle of 10 March 1827: "On Thursday, at Manister Lodge, County Limerick, Patrick Cudmore Esq. aged 47."[1]
