• 1880 AL census, DeKalb Co, ED53/SH13/LN6. Charles, age 23, and Ann, age 25, have 1 child. Hattie, age 5 months, was born in December. Charles is a farmer. Two of Charles' brothers, Alonzo and Augustus, live in a nearby dwelling.
• 1900 AL census, DeKalb Co, ED70/SH03/LN18. C. Y. Culberson, age 43, and Annie, age 47, have been married 20 years. Annie is the mother of 5 children. The 3 surviving children are in the home. Hettie E. is 20; Truman is 13; and Gerald is 11. Hettie is a bookkeeper.
